Creating an OpenStack cloud using DevStack and IBM PowerKVM Compute Nodes

IBM PowerKVM is an open virtualization platform for IBM POWER8 based scale-out Linux servers. It is based on the open source Linux KVM virtualization technology and is designed to complement the performance and scalability of Power servers. PowerKVM systems can be seamlessly managed using open source tools like OpenStack, xCAT and Kimchi etc. More details on PowerKVM are available here – http://goo.gl/fVB5EB

In this article, we outline the procedure to set up DevStack and manage one or more IBM PowerKVM compute nodes through it. This set of instructions is aimed to guide you through using DevStack to manage PowerKVM servers.
